We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our busy warehouse in Columbus, Ohio. This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will be involved in various tasks including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products. You will ensure that materials are organized, accessible, and safely managed throughout the warehouse. This position requires a person who is reliable, detail-oriented, and physically capable of handling warehouse duties. You will work collaboratively with other team members to meet operational goals and maintain efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and record incoming materials.
- Organize and store materials in designated areas.
- Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments.
- Operate manual and powered equipment for material movement.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse floor.
- Assist in conducting inventory checks and stocktaking.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a dynamic logistics environment.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
