About
We are seeking certified and experienced Forklift Operators to join our busy logistics hub in Omaha, Nebraska. This position is vital for the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport materials to and from storage areas, and assist with inventory management. Safety is our highest priority, and you must demonstrate a strong commitment to following all safety procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintaining a safe work environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent forklift operating skills. This role offers a competitive hourly wage and the opportunity to be a key player in our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments from trucks.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, picking, and packing processes as needed.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways and safe operating conditions.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and traffic rules within the facility.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times while operating machinery.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stock organization.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and meet operational goals.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment. Thorough understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Strong commitment to safety and accident prevention. Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. This role offers a competitive hourly rate within the $16.00-$24.00 range, depending on experience and certification, and offers stability and growth within our logistics company.
