We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Associates to join our growing team in Kansas City, Missouri. This versatile role is fundamental to our logistics operations, involving a range of tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient handling of goods. Your responsibilities will include receiving and unloading inventory, stocking shelves, picking and packing orders, and preparing shipments for dispatch. A commitment to safety is paramount; you will be required to follow all established safety protocols and utilize the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided. This position requires physical activity, including frequent lifting and standing, and offers a great opportunity to develop skills within the warehousing and logistics industry. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Stock shelves and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specifications.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks (training available).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals.
Qualifications:
Previous warehouse or general labor experience is beneficial but not required; we provide comprehensive training. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods. Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. Basic understanding of logistics and warehouse operations is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. We prioritize safety above all else and provide all necessary PPE and safety training. This position offers a competitive hourly rate, typically between $16.00 and $24.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience, with opportunities for growth within our company.
