About
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team at our Washington, D.C. facility. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity. Your responsibilities will include managing staff, optimizing workflow, implementing operational improvements, and maintaining inventory accuracy. You will be responsible for enforcing all safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting a culture of safety awareness, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role demands strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of logistics and warehouse management principles. You will also be involved in training new team members, resolving operational issues, and collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless operations. The ability to motivate your team and drive performance is crucial, along with the capacity for managing tasks that may involve occasional physical Lifting. We are looking for a proactive individual who can ensure the smooth and safe functioning of our entire logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct warehouse staff in daily operations.
- Ensure all warehouse activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Manage inventory levels and accuracy through regular audits.
- Implement and enforce company policies and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Train and mentor warehouse associates.
- Monitor workflow and identify areas for improvement in the logistics process.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure a safe working environment.
- Report on warehouse performance metrics and operational status.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and experience enforcing PPE requirements.
- Ability to handle occasional physical tasks, including Lifting.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
