We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, and identifying discrepancies. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and supply chain. You will work closely with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to resolve inventory issues and implement process improvements. Your commitment to accuracy and efficiency will directly impact our bottom line.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low stock or overstock situations.
- Assist in the receiving and put-away process, ensuring items are correctly identified and stored.
- Process inventory adjustments, transfers, and returns in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Identify and report damaged or expired stock, following proper procedures for disposition.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve inventory-related issues promptly.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of improved inventory control procedures.
- Adhere to all company policies, including those related to safety and PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in using WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE is essential.
