About
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Material Handler to join our team at a busy Tampa, Florida facility. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing stock. Your role is crucial in maintaining smooth operations within our Logistics network. We place a high priority on employee Safety and require strict adherence to all safety protocols and the proper use of PPE . This position involves significant physical activity, including operating heavy machinery, standing, walking, and regular Lifting of items up to 60 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Inspect equipment for safety and maintenance issues before operation.
- Organize and stack materials in designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow all warehouse procedures and Safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Report any safety hazards or operational issues to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification (preferred).
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE .
