Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload materials from incoming shipments.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Organize and stock materials in designated areas, ensuring proper placement and inventory accuracy.
- Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and report findings.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, following all established protocols.
- Operate warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Consistently use all required PPE as mandated by safety regulations and company policy.
- Participate in inventory control activities, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve operational targets.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in logistics and safety practices.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics role is preferred. Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds frequently. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting for the entire shift. Strong understanding of warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
