We are seeking a motivated and reliable Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking and packing orders to ensure timely and efficient delivery to our customers. This is a crucial position within our warehouse operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction and the overall success of our supply chain. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and adhering to strict safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role involves significant physical activity, including constant standing, walking, and moderate lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanners and other provided equipment.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, ensuring proper labeling and packaging for shipment.
- Conduct quality checks on products before packing to ensure they meet standards.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area to promote efficiency and safety.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed, including cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily performance goals.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement in all aspects of the job.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage. Familiarity with logistics and warehouse operations is beneficial.
