About
We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our busy facility in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is critical for ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately received, inspected, and documented. You will be the first point of contact for many deliveries, making accuracy and organization key. A commitment to safety and efficiency is essential in this fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or short shipments.
- Organize and stock received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments regarding received goods.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, and moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping documents.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics .
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE .
- High school diploma or equivalent.
