We are hiring a diligent Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of goods at our Portland, Oregon location. This role is crucial for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and are ready for carrier pickup. The Shipping Clerk will work closely with warehouse staff and carriers to maintain seamless logistics operations and uphold our commitment to timely delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Process outgoing shipments, including verifying order accuracy and preparing shipping documentation.
- Generate shipping labels and arrange for carrier pickups.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and resolve any issues.
- Inspect outgoing packages to ensure they are properly packed and sealed.
- Maintain organized shipping records and update tracking information.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams (e.g., warehouse associates) and external partners (e.g., carriers).
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure the shipping area is kept clean and orderly.
- Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, which may include some Lifting.
