About
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Coordinator in Richmond, Virginia, to oversee and manage daily warehouse operations. This vital role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership and organizational skills. You will be responsible for coordinating the flow of goods, managing inventory, supervising warehouse staff, and ensuring the efficiency and safety of our logistics processes. The Warehouse Coordinator will play a key role in optimizing storage, improving workflow, and maintaining accurate records. A deep understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles is essential. You will be instrumental in implementing best practices for receiving, storing, and shipping materials. This position demands excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Adherence to all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE are mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, and distribution.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatch of outgoing shipments.
- Train and manage warehouse staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to procedures.
- Implement and enforce safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency in logistics.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and operational data.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator or in a similar management role.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in WMS and other relevant software.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to promoting a safe work environment and proper PPE usage.
