We are seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping materials and products. This role requires physical stamina and attention to detail to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure timely order fulfillment. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to meet daily operational goals and uphold our high standards for safety and efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Receive, identify, and stock incoming materials accurately.
- Pick and pack orders according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Stage finished orders for shipment, verifying contents against shipping documents.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed, following all safety procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and hazard prevention.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting, up to 50 pounds, consistently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Familiarity with Safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
