About
We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics center in Provo, Utah. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your tasks will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials within the warehouse, and ensuring proper storage of goods. Adherence to strict safety protocols is paramount, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting daily pre-shift equipment inspections. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining a secure and organized warehouse environment. While operating the forklift is primary, you will also be expected to assist with other warehouse duties, which may involve lifting. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to all safety standards.
- Ensure accurate inventory counts by proper placement and scanning of goods.
- Comply with all company safety policies, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material handling principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Commitment to adhering to PPE guidelines and a safe work environment.
