We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is crucial for the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, processing, and moving materials and products within the warehouse. This involves operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively. Your daily tasks will include unloading incoming shipments, stocking shelves, picking and packing orders, and preparing outgoing shipments. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment is paramount to ensure operational efficiency and safety. We emphasize the importance of adhering to all safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE at all times. This position requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and a commitment to teamwork. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety vests and steel-toed boots.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handler role preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to workplace safety and ability to follow instructions.
