About
Seeking an energetic Picker/Packer to join our bustling distribution center in San Antonio, Texas. This role is fundamental to our daily operations, ensuring that customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently. You'll be responsible for selecting items from our extensive inventory, carefully inspecting them for quality, and packaging them securely for shipment. Success in this position requires speed, precision, and a dedication to maintaining high standards of Safety and order fulfillment within our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from shelves using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product information and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Inspect all items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Apply shipping labels correctly and stage packages for dispatch.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times, following all Safety guidelines.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE, including safety shoes and gloves.
- Meet or exceed team productivity and quality metrics.
- Be prepared for moderate physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is preferred.
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
