About
We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in San Jose, California. This position is vital for the safe and efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to transport, load, unload, and stack materials. A strong commitment to safety, adherence to operational procedures, and proficiency in forklift operation are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload products from trucks, trailers, and other vehicles.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated areas, ensuring proper placement and stability.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory control tasks, such as cycle counts and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods.
- Be aware of safe lifting practices and assist manually when necessary.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proven knowledge of warehouse operations, safety procedures, and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
