You will be responsible for picking items from shelves using RF scanners and specific order lists, preparing them for shipment. This position requires physical stamina, including extensive walking, standing, and the ability to lift items. Adherence to all safety procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is a critical aspect of this job. Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve specified items from warehouse locations based on order details.
- Utilize RF scanning technology to track inventory movements and ensure precision.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and product condition before moving to the next stage.
- Consolidate picked items and prepare them for the packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain tidiness and organization within your assigned picking zones.
- Strictly follow all warehouse safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification processes.
- Report any order discrepancies or issues to your supervisor promptly.
- Handle all products with care to prevent damage and loss.
- Contribute to team goals by maintaining high levels of productivity.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar order picking or warehouse role is advantageous.
- Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to following safety rules and wearing necessary PPE.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
