Join our fast-paced distribution center in Los Angeles, California, as a Material Handler. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse, involving the movement and organization of various goods. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, sorting packages, and preparing materials for shipment. This position requires physical stamina and a strong work ethic. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment for all our employees. As a Material Handler, you'll be an integral part of our Logistics team, ensuring timely and accurate handling of all materials. You will be required to adhere to all Safety guidelines and wear the necessary PPE . This role also involves significant Lifting .
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Sort and organize incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks to move materials.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Identify and report damaged goods or discrepancies.
- Scan and track inventory movements using appropriate systems.
- Adhere to all Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear all required PPE , including but not limited to gloves, safety glasses, and vests.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
- Participate in general warehouse cleanup and organization.
- Support other departments as needed with material handling tasks.
- Contribute to efficient warehouse operations and meet productivity targets.
- Basic understanding of Logistics and inventory flow is beneficial.
- Properly stack and secure items for transport within the warehouse.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors regarding material handling.
