About
Our Seattle, Washington facility is looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to manage the inflow of goods. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately documenting, inspecting, and organizing all incoming inventory. Your meticulous attention to detail is essential for maintaining inventory integrity and ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly. You will play a key role in the supply chain, acting as the first point of contact for all inbound logistics. This role requires individuals who are organized, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and unloading incoming shipments.
- Verifying contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately entering receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Tagging and organizing received materials for storage or distribution.
- Communicating with vendors and internal departments regarding receiving issues.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Assisting with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Adhering to all company policies and safety procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Performing manual lifting of items up to 40 lbs as part of the receiving process.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, receiving, or inventory control role.
- Familiarity with inventory management software is a plus.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse procedures.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
