About
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. The Material Handler will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring that products are accurately located, transported, and prepared for shipment or further processing. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to maintain a smooth workflow and contribute to overall productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Transporting materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Conducting regular inventory checks and reporting discrepancies.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Performing routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Assisting with packing and preparing orders for shipment.
- Adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
