Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials accurately.
- Transport materials to and from various locations within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring safe and efficient handling of goods.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards in the workplace.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of logistics operations.
- Perform duties that involve frequent and heavy lifting, up to 70 pounds.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve departmental goals.
- Ensure proper handling and stacking of materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in logistics and safety.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 70 lbs, and other strenuous tasks.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of using PPE.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
