Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport inventory, and stage goods for various warehouse operations. Maintaining a safe work environment is paramount, and you will be expected to adhere strictly to all safety regulations and conduct pre-operation checks on your equipment. We require a thorough understanding of warehouse safety practices and the correct use of PPE. This is a key role within our logistics network, contributing directly to the smooth flow of goods. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload goods from trailers and into warehouse storage areas.
- Transport inventory to and from designated locations within the facility.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of material movements and inventory locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) in a warehouse setting.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety standards and material handling procedures.
- Ability to perform tasks involving significant physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and inventory management systems is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
