Seeking a skilled Material Handler to manage the movement and organization of goods in our Colorado Springs, Colorado facility. This role is vital for our logistics chain, ensuring materials are correctly handled, stored, and prepared for processing or shipment. You will be operating various material handling equipment and must have a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols. Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and preventing damage. We value individuals who are proactive, safety-conscious, and capable of performing tasks involving significant Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move raw materials and finished goods to and from storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Ensure materials are properly stacked, secured, and labeled.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting.
- Follow all guidelines for the proper use of PPE.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain process.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 70 lbs).
- Strong knowledge of material handling procedures and Safety best practices.
- Familiarity with logistics and warehouse management systems.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety.
