Have you ever wanted to own a coffee shop? We are opening the coffee brand and looking for a barista with not only experience, but also someone who wants to start a coffee brand. You will become the face of the drinks product line., and you will jump right into the core ownership team.

The offer is simply, you will recieve a piece of permanent equity ownership, and become a part of the core ownership in exchange for developing the drinks product line, and some management/ marketing duties. Once we/you have developed the sales, you will recieve a salary as well, and your equity ownership piece remains permanent - just like any other owner. You will be responsible to build a team, which means you choose your own shifts, and choose your schedule once you have built the brand.

The Barista will prepare high-quality coffee and specialty beverages while providing excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to the café's brand through innovation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Coffee & Beverage Preparation
• Prepare espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and consistency.
• Showcase latte art and maintain high presentation standards for all drinks.
• Experiment with new recipes, flavors, and drink trends to expand the menu.
• Creativity & Content
• Create and present drinks in visually engaging ways for social media.
• Collaborate with the team to produce viral café content (photos, reels, TikToks).
• Stay up-to-date on global coffee and drink trends to inspire new offerings.
• Customer Experience
• Greet customers warmly, take orders, and ensure a positive café atmosphere.
• Answer questions about menu items and provide recommendations.
• Handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Operations & Cleanliness
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, equipment, and café floor.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory, stock rotation, and supply management.

Skills & Qualifications

• Advanced latte art skills (required).
• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso machines, and café equipment.
• Passion for social media and ability to create content that fits current trends.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to experiment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience

• Previous barista experience preferred, but passion and creativity are most important.
• Experience with social media content creation is a strong asset.
• Training in specialty coffee is an advantage but not required if eager to learn.

Overview

As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring that every customer has a memorable experience.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the cash register, handle cash transactions, and manage the Micros POS system efficiently.
• Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Assist in food preparation and serving as needed, ensuring all items are presented attractively.
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak hours effectively.
• Uphold food handling practices to ensure the safety and quality of all products served.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to create positive interactions with customers.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash management accurately.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is a plus.
