Neecheewam Inc. has a Permanent Full-Time Position for Program Manager available at the Blue Turtle Healing Lodge. The Program Manager is responsible for the implementation, management, supervision, and evaluation of the Blue Turtle Healing Lodge program in accordance with and set out by the organization. The Blue Turtle Healing Lodge is a three-bed home for all nations young women ages 12-17 years old. We offer long term placement and programming. This home is also specific to youth who have demonstrated behaviours that indicate a high need for additional structure, supervision, and support.

c) Encouraging and supporting the children and youth we work with in acquiring the knowledge, skills, and confidence to transition into responsible, productive adults.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of managerial experience combined with relevant post-secondary education. Experience working with children, at-risk and sexually exploited youth. Education of youth with addiction, substance abuse and trauma.
- Knowledge and appreciation of the Indigenous Culture, Traditions and Seven Sacred Teachings.
- Knowledge of the impacts of colonization and intergenerational trauma and issues affecting our children, families, and communities.
- Strong demonstrated Team Leadership and Advocacy skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, Verbal, Written and Organization skills.
- Working knowledge of the Multi-Disciplinary Systems of Residential Care Child and Youth Resources, Child Welfare and Child Protection Standards/ Regulations.
- Appreciation for All Nations culture and work environment.
- Current standard First Aid & Level C CPR required.
- Valid Manitoba Driver's License is required.
- Current Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse & Prior Contact Registry Checks completed within a 3 month period from present date is required.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings and on call duties.
Responsibilities:
- Direct Supervision of the team and implementation of program.
- Develop new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization.
- Active program management & building maintenance to meet licensing standards and workplace health and safety.
- Ensure that the program operate within the approved budget.
- Conducting ongoing employee performance appraisals & training needs assessments
- Developing and maintaining liaison relations with program collateral agencies and community networking etc.
- Oversee referral/screening & intake/discharge.
- Oversee shift scheduling & finance duties as well as other tasks as assigned.
- Reports directly to the Director of Program Services.
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Program Services.
