About
We are looking for a dependable Material Handler to join our bustling logistics facility in Omaha, Nebraska. In this physically demanding role, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your tasks will include loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring materials are stored appropriately within the warehouse. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, and all material handlers are expected to strictly adhere to company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, or other designated areas.
- Stack and store materials in designated locations according to WMS or supervisor instructions.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
- Practice safe lifting and handling techniques at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 60 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, push, and pull for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory management systems is beneficial.
- Commitment to safe lifting practices.
