About
Our Omaha, Nebraska facility is hiring skilled Material Handlers to join our logistics team. As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in the efficient movement of goods throughout our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment, loading and unloading shipments, and organizing materials to ensure a smooth workflow. A strong commitment to safety, precision, and teamwork is essential. Your expertise in material handling will ensure our operations run seamlessly.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper securing of goods.
- Transport materials to and from various locations within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack inventory in designated storage areas.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
- This role involves significant physical work, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to the efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required. Valid forklift certification is highly preferred. Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Must be able to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. A reliable and responsible work ethic is essential. Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
