About
Our St. Louis, Missouri facility is looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician to maintain and optimize our warehouse operations. The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of various warehouse equipment, including conveyors, forklifts, pallet wrappers, and other material handling systems. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods through our logistics network. You will collaborate with warehouse staff and management to identify and resolve operational issues, ensuring minimal downtime. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is essential. Safety is paramount in this role, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety regulations and best practices. - Perform routine maintenance and inspections on warehouse equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment.
- Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Operate various warehouse machinery, including forklifts, when required.
- Support the logistics team by ensuring equipment availability.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role in a warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a logistics setting.
- Must be able to perform lifting tasks as needed, typically up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and on-call.
- Must wear required PPE at all times.
