Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our operations in Seattle, Washington. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring that products are located, transported, and stored correctly. This includes operating various types of material handling equipment and maintaining a safe and organized work area. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with forklifts or other heavy machinery and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. Safety is our top priority, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety protocols and utilize provided PPE. This role involves substantial lifting and requires physical stamina. Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
  • Receive, identify, and stock incoming materials, verifying quantities against documentation.
  • Pick and stage materials for outgoing shipments or internal transfers.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Assist with inventory management, cycle counting, and stocktaking.
  • Support the broader logistics team in achieving operational goals.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Valid forklift certification preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
