We are looking for a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This position is fundamental to our operations, responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing all incoming goods. You will be the first point of contact for all deliveries, ensuring that everything matches our purchase orders and is handled with care. Your primary goal will be to maintain the integrity of our inventory from the moment it arrives. This involves checking delivery manifests, inspecting for damages, and accurately recording received items into our inventory system. Strong attention to detail and accuracy are paramount. You will work closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal logistics teams to resolve any discrepancies. Safety is a core value, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is expected. This role may involve moderate lifting and moving of goods. We provide a stable work environment and opportunities to learn about warehouse operations. - Unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers.
- Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Tag and label incoming materials appropriately.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area.
- Follow all safety procedures and utilize required PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
