Join our dynamic team in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as a Forklift Operator! We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious individuals to manage the movement of materials within our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will involve operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move products to and from storage areas, and assist in order fulfillment. A deep understanding of warehouse logistics and a steadfast commitment to Safety are essential. You will be expected to meticulously follow all operational procedures and consistently use the required PPE. This role requires physical capability, including significant Lifting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers and containers efficiently and accurately.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Pick and stage orders as required, using forklift equipment.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by updating system information.
- Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Follow all logistics and operational directives.
- Wear and utilize all mandated PPE, including hard hats and safety vests.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven ability to handle Lifting tasks of up to 70 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Exceptional Safety record and awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long durations.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Must be reliable and possess a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to comply with all company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
