About
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team at the Virginia Beach, Virginia distribution center. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, order fulfillment, and shipping. Your leadership will ensure efficiency, accuracy, and the highest standards of **safety** within our **logistics** environment. You will motivate your team, manage resources effectively, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This is a key role requiring strong leadership and operational expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide warehouse associates in daily tasks and operations.
- Ensure efficient workflow for receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Implement and enforce all **safety** regulations, procedures, and **PPE** requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor **logistics** performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage inventory accuracy through effective cycle counting and physical inventory procedures.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff performance.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Manage workload distribution and scheduling to meet operational demands.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and discrepancies promptly.
- High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in **Logistics**, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and **logistics**.
- Demonstrated ability to enforce **safety** protocols and ensure compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Ability to perform **lifting** of up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate **PPE** and ensuring team compliance.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
