Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in item count and destination.
- Verify shipping addresses and generate shipping labels.
- Prepare necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Conduct final quality checks on outgoing orders before dispatch.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company Safety policies.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of shipments as needed.
- Must be able to perform moderate Lifting of packages up to 40 lbs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a Shipping Clerk, logistics, or warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of Shipping procedures and carrier management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and computer systems.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations related to shipping and material handling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with required PPE for warehouse environments.
