We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse facility. This position requires a deep understanding of forklift operation, warehouse procedures, and strict adherence to safety protocols. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth operational flow. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential, as is the proper use and care of equipment. The ideal candidate possesses a valid forklift certification, a strong safety record, and excellent attention to detail. We are committed to providing a secure work environment, and all employees are required to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach) safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport inventory to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Accurately stack and store materials according to established procedures.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock placement verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring aisles and pathways are clear.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Wear and properly utilize all required PPE, including safety shoes, vests, and hard hats as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or operational issues to supervision immediately.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures, including the importance of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as climbing on and off equipment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
