About
Our dynamic fulfillment center in Atlanta, Georgia is hiring a Picker/Packer! This critical role ensures that our customers receive their orders accurately and efficiently. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves, assembling them into complete orders, and preparing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and speed will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall success of our logistics operations. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse inventory based on order sheets or scanner devices.
- Pack picked items securely and appropriately for shipping, using correct packaging materials.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipment.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Operate manual equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks to move merchandise.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including stocking and inventory.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and a commitment to wearing PPE.
