We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse in Orlando, Florida. This role is critical for the efficient movement of goods throughout our facility, ensuring that inventory is safely and effectively transported, loaded, and unloaded. You will operate various types of forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials. Our logistics operations depend on skilled operators like you to maintain smooth workflows and prevent delays. Safety is our top priority, and we are committed to providing a secure working environment, including comprehensive training and the mandatory provision of PPE. This position requires precision, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a dynamic warehouse setting. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Safely transport goods between different areas of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and shipping docks.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition and report any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around docks and storage zones.
- Properly document movement of goods and inventory using scanners or logs.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as directed.
- Wear all required PPE at all times while operating equipment or in designated areas.
- Follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to materials or equipment.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient and timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience. Minimum 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to perform regular lifting of up to 50 pounds. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions precisely. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Experience with RF scanners is a plus.
