Job Summary:
Our Houston, Texas facility is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist. This crucial role involves maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through meticulous tracking, regular audits, and process improvements. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize shrinkage and improve efficiency. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to optimizing our Logistics operations. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong focus on workplace Safety are essential. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and be adept at managing complex inventory data.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, optimize stock levels, and reduce carrying costs.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor and manage the flow of goods into and out of the warehouse.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to prevent damage and loss.
  • Train and guide warehouse staff on inventory management procedures.
  • Adhere to all Safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE .
  • Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to forecast inventory needs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Thorough understanding of inventory management principles and Logistics .
  • Knowledge of Safety protocols and PPE requirements in a warehouse setting.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting , and stand for extended periods.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
