Join our Minneapolis, Minnesota team as a skilled Forklift Operator. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage areas, and assisting with order picking and fulfillment. A strong understanding of warehouse operations, commitment to Safety , and adherence to all operational procedures are critical. This position is key to our Logistics chain, ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods. The ability to operate various types of forklifts safely is paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently to transport materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move inventory to and from designated storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Assist with order picking and put-away processes.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE .
- Assist warehouse associates with other tasks as needed.
- Ensure all movements are tracked accurately in the inventory system.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of Safety in all operations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Must wear required PPE , including safety shoes and high-visibility vest.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
