About
Our St. Louis, Missouri location is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This role is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting audits, and resolving discrepancies. If you have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics , this is the role for you. Your dedication to safety is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points, ensuring adequate stock availability.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage the return process for damaged or defective goods.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to optimize space and prevent damage.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure the correct use of PPE by all staff involved in inventory handling.
- Work closely with the warehouse and purchasing teams to coordinate inventory flow.
- Generate reports on inventory status, valuation, and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse logistics .
- Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and the importance of PPE .
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
