We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our vital logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within our warehouse. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of goods, ensuring efficient storage, and preparing orders for dispatch. Your attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are paramount. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with precision.
- Move, stack, and retrieve inventory to and from racking systems.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all logistics and safety guidelines.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Support shipping and receiving activities as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
- Commitment to safety and ability to enforce safety rules.
- Ability to perform occasional heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
