Join our thriving logistics team in Provo, Utah as a Material Handler! In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. Your duties will include operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading shipments, and maintaining an organized inventory. This position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain and requires a strong focus on Safety and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to shipping.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, free of obstructions.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with picking and packing orders when required.
- Ensure all materials are handled in accordance with established logistics protocols.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and Safety awareness, especially concerning heavy Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred).
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to Safety.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
