We have an opening for a skilled Forklift Operator in Kansas City, Missouri! This position is essential for the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse and logistics center. You will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and stack materials and products throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is a certified and experienced forklift operator with a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and shipping containers.
- Stack and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Accurately record movement of inventory.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and protocols.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including manual Lifting.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics and distribution operations.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification. Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment. Strong knowledge of forklift safety procedures. Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Reliable and punctual. Good communication skills. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
