We are looking for a reliable and physically fit Material Handler to join our busy warehouse operations in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is crucial for the smooth flow of goods within our facility, ensuring that materials are received, stored, and moved efficiently and safely. Responsibilities include receiving incoming shipments, unloading trucks, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately logging inventory. You will be responsible for transporting materials to designated storage areas using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. This position demands a strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management principles. You will play a vital role in maintaining an organized and accessible inventory system. A key aspect of this role involves adhering to strict safety standards, including the mandatory use of PPE. The ability to perform tasks involving significant lifting is essential, as is a commitment to workplace safety. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Verify shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Store materials in designated locations and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse as needed.
- Package and prepare outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification (preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds repetitively.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
