About
We are looking for a certified Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics center in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with inventory management. This role is critical to maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring operational efficiency. A strong commitment to Safety, proficiency in operating various types of forklifts, and the ability to perform physical tasks including Lifting are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring Safety at all times.
- Follow all warehouse Safety protocols and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE consistently and correctly.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong understanding of forklift Safety procedures and regulations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
