Your primary responsibility will be to move, package, and prepare materials for distribution. This involves operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a secure and organized workspace, with strict adherence to safety regulations. The use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times to ensure your well-being. This position demands physical stamina, as regular lifting of materials will be a key component of your daily tasks. Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar capacity within a warehouse setting is highly desirable. We value teamwork, efficiency, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Package materials for shipment and ensure proper labeling.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to all safety standards.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report any issues.
- Comply with all PPE requirements and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of materials, up to 60 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control principles.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and accident prevention.
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
