About
We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring that they are accurately documented, inspected, and processed. Your responsibilities include verifying shipments against purchase orders, checking for damages, and reporting discrepancies. A strong focus on detail and organization is crucial for success. You will play an important part in our supply chain logistics, contributing to the accurate management of our inventory. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices.
- Inspect goods for any damage or defects and report issues immediately.
- Accurately document all received items into the inventory system.
- Organize and stage incoming goods for put-away.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies in received orders.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all company safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
- Support the overall logistics flow of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is preferred. Ability to handle moderate lifting, up to 40 lbs. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational skills. Basic computer literacy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
