We are hiring an accurate and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk for our facility in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our inventory. Your responsibilities will include tracking inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring that our stock is properly managed within our logistics system. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to tasks. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to identify and resolve inventory issues, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Generate inventory reports and analyze data for trends.
- Assist in the receiving and put-away process to ensure accurate stock placement.
- Manage returns and ensure they are processed correctly into inventory.
- Coordinate with other departments regarding inventory levels and needs.
- Ensure all inventory control procedures are followed diligently.
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom and warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel. Ability to perform physical tasks, including some lifting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to stand for extended periods and operate warehouse equipment if necessary. Adherence to all safety protocols is critical for this role, especially when handling materials. Understanding logistics flow is beneficial.
