We are seeking an enthusiastic Distribution Center Associate to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Sort and store merchandise in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick and pack orders for shipment according to customer requirements.
- Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, following strict Safety guidelines.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory management tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Prepare products for shipping, including labeling and staging.
- Be prepared for regular and sometimes heavy Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles.
- Excellent physical stamina, including the ability to perform repetitive tasks and significant Lifting.
- Commitment to upholding high Safety standards in all tasks.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts as needed.
- A focus on precision in handling orders is critical for our logistics network.
