Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic Distribution Center Associate to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is central to the smooth operation of our logistics hub, requiring individuals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to safety. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and preparing goods for shipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse or distribution environment and a strong understanding of inventory management principles. We prioritize a safe working atmosphere, mandating the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety protocols. This position involves significant physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting. Responsibilities:
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and condition against documentation.
  • Unload materials from delivery vehicles and transport them to designated storage areas.
  • Accurately stock inventory on shelves, pallets, or in appropriate bins, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO).
  • Efficiently pick and pack customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists, ensuring accuracy.
  • Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling, dunnage, and staging for carriers.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers (certification may be required).
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in physical inventory audits.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the distribution center, including work areas and common spaces.
  • Strictly follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets and improve processes.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Associate, Distribution Center Associate, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment is a strong plus.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and experience with PPE usage.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is advantageous.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
