Are you a skilled Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Milwaukee, Wisconsin? Our logistics company is seeking a proficient and safety-conscious individual to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks. You will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and transferring inventory throughout our warehouse. This role is critical to maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring efficient operations. A strong commitment to safety, proper equipment operation, and warehouse protocols is essential. Your expertise will directly contribute to the smooth functioning of our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and store goods in designated locations, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification or license.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent knowledge of forklift safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
